Olivia Dimond is a writer and theater maker based in Denver, Colorado. She loves finding ways to reinvent the stories we think we know for the page, stage, and screen. She holds a BA in Theater from Bates College in Lewiston, ME.

Her written work is published or forthcoming in Idle Ink, Miniskirt Magazine, Trash to Treasure Lit, and others. She began writing for ACC Publishing Ink’s award-winning webseries Hurt during Season 2. She will return for the third and final season, expected sometime in 2024. She’s also served on the writing staff of The Bates Student and Study Breaks, covering arts, leisure, and various pop culture topics. In 2021, her ten-minute play was a semifinalist at the Region 1 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. She is a member of Lighthouse Writers’ Workshop in Denver.

Recent theater credits include directing Rapture, Blister, Burn (Bates College) and starring as the lead in the world-premiere English-language production of The Girl Who Was Cyrano (translated by Luis David Molina Rueda). Bates recognized Rapture, Blister, Burn with Honors in Theater in support of both the production and Olivia’s written thesis covering the production process.

As an educator, Olivia currently serves as a Middle School Teaching Fellow at Kent Denver. In this role, she teaches and co-teaches theater and English for 6th-8th graders. When not creating or helping others create, she is a making a mess in the kitchen and obnoxiously singing around her apartment. You can find her on socials below.
